Top 10 clubs who have hit the woodwork the most in the Premier League

T7 – Brighton, Newcastle, Tottenham Hotspur, Bournemouth: 2 woodwork hits

These four have all been impressive in terms of taking their chances, with just two woodwork hits all season long, showing that they have all been clinical in terms of their goal scoring ability.

T3 – Arsenal, Wolves, Chelsea, Burnley: 3 woodwork hits

The Gunners feature in third, as they have hit the post or the crossbar three times so far this season, one of which was by Viktor Gyokeres, which could have broken his five-game duck against West Ham.

They are joined by Chelsea, Wolves and Burnley, the latter two are in for a relegation-battling season base on what we’ve seen so far in the Premier League.

T1 – Manchester United, Crystal Palace: 5 woodwork hits

In terms of the most wasteful teams in the Premier League so far this season, Man United and Crystal Palace are tied on five woodwork hits.

United have been better than last year in terms of attacking, but they have still left goals out on the pitch by hitting the posts five times in seven games across the season. The Red Devils have Benjamin Sesko up front, whereas Palace have Jean-Philippe Mateta as their main goal scorer.
