Fans were quick to react to this news:

Not enough. And I’m a Lions fan. He crossed a dangerous line that he’s very lucky didn’t cause a major problem. After the game, there is no one to even truly enforce anything other than police. He’s a selfish player and cost his team big next week.

One-game suspension? That’s just a free bye week for Brian. pic.twitter.com/iw0kjqX62D

Suspending a player for unsportsmanlike conduct seems excessive. Aren’t we all just a little too quick to judge in the heat of the moment? This could set a dangerous precedent for the game😐
