Ja’Marr Chase Had Notable Career Feat Against Packers

The Cincinnati Bengals may not have their best player, but they still have one of the best, if not the best, wide receivers in the league.

Fortunately for Ja’Marr Chase, he might finally get some open looks now that Joe Flacco is at the helm.

Chase had a strong game in the loss to the Green Bay Packers, and he grabbed his 50th career touchdown.

Milestone moment for 1️⃣.

Given that he’s only been in the league since 2021, that’s all the more impressive.

The former LSU star drew a game-high 12 targets, logging 10 receptions and also drawing a couple of penalties.

He finished the game with 94 receiving yards and one of the most spectacular touchdown grabs of his career.

For the season, the current holder of the wide receivers’ triple crown is up to just 42 receptions on 57 targets for 468 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

He’s averaging just 78.0 yards per game.

Of course, those would be career numbers for most wide receivers in NFL history, but Chase is clearly not like most wide receivers in NFL history.

Losing Joe Burrow, potentially for the season, was a lethal blow to the Bengals’ playoff aspirations, and his pass-catchers are paying the price.

They’re now just 2-4, and while they’re second in the AFC North, their chances of making the postseason look quite slim.

Unless they somehow manage to give 40-year-old Flacco some protection, things won’t be pretty.

At least, the gunslinger will have a reliable and unguardable pass-catcher roaming free in the open field on every dropback.
