The Buffalo Bills and Atlanta Falcons will kick off a Monday Night Football doubleheader at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Coming off their first loss of the season, Buffalo will be taking part in their fourth primetime game in six weeks. Injuries continue to plague the Bills early in the season, but the team will be welcoming back one key addition.
Defensive end Ed Oliver will be taking part in his first action since Week 1, when he made several key plays in the team’s comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens. Oliver was injured in practice the following week and has not played since due to an ankle injury. Oliver’s return comes at the perfect time. On Saturday, Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced that rookie defensive tackle T.J. Sanders would be placed on the injured reserve with a knee injury.
In addition to Oliver, linebacker Dorian Williams will return to the lineup after dealing with a knee injury. The linebacker could see significant reps with Matt Milano out after reaggravating his pectoral injury last week.
Oliver and Williams are back, but here’s a look at who is inactive for tonight’s game against the Falcons.
LB Matt Milano
OL Chase Lundt
WR Curtis Samuel
LB Jimmy Ciarlo
TE Dalton Kincaid
Kincaid, the biggest name on the list, was still wearing a red non-contact jersey on Saturday due to an oblique injury. The tight end has been one of Josh Allen’s most reliable weapons, so it will be interesting to see how the offense fares without him.
In a game where the Bills will be wearing throwbacks, the team is going with some throwback players as their elevations. Buffalo announced that veteran Jordan Poyer and Jordan Phillips were elevated from the practice squad. Both are active for tonight’s game.
Atlanta will be without one key playmaker on offense. Wide receiver Darnell Mooney was ruled out on Saturday with a hamstring injury. Atlanta’s full inactive list can be viewed below:
WR Darnell Mooney
S Billy Bowman Jr.
WR Ray-Ray McCloud
CB Clark Phillips III
RB Nathan Carter
OL Jack Nelson
DL LaCale London
