Bills at Falcons: The matchup
The Bills are narrow 3.5-point favorites in a betting line that came down from an opening line of 4.5 points. Buffalo is 4-1 overall this season and 1-0 on the road, but comes off a 23-20 loss that snapped a four-game win streak. The Bills now kick off a stretch where they play three of their next four games on the road, starting with the Falcons on Monday night. While the Buffalo offense outgained the Patriots (363-338), three turnovers and 11 penalties played a role in the team suffering its first loss of the season.

The Falcons enter Week 6 off a bye and a four-game stretch where they went 2-2 in matchups against at least a trio of playoff-caliber teams. The team got a big result in Week 2 with a 22-6 road win over the Minnesota Vikings and added another impressive victory in Week 4 against the Washington Commanders (34-27). Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. delivered a breakthrough performance in that game with 313 yards and two touchdowns (with one interception) after struggling the week before in a 30-0 shutout loss to the Carolina Panthers.
