KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Chiefs are riding high after their 30-17 victory over the Detroit Lions, and things are about to get even better on offense.
Wide receiver Rashee Rice is back with the team following his six-week suspension. Sunday’s Week 7 game against the Las Vegas Raiders is expected to be the first time Rice, Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown will take the field together.
The 25-year-old Rice hasn’t played an official game since Week 4 of last season and wasn’t allowed to practice with the team during his suspension, but head coach Andy Reid believes his receiver is ready to contribute.
“I know he’s been working out hard,” Reid said. “I think it’s just a matter of getting him back in the swing. I’ve got to see it to kind of work through it, but I know he’s in good shape. That’s the one thing I do know.”

### **Building chemistry with new trio**
The combination of Rice, Worthy and Brown gives the Chiefs their most well-rounded receiving corps in years. The team hopes adding another outside threat will unlock more of their offensive potential, though Reid acknowledges the integration process may take time.
“They all like each other and get along,” Reid said. “They hang out together. They work together on their route combinations, and they are always talking about stuff to get better there. They’ve got a good friendship which will be needed now because we’ve got more guys and we’ve only got one football.”
While it may take time to fully work Rice into the offense, his return gives opposing defenses another wrinkle to worry about. Reid remained cautiously optimistic about the immediate impact.
“We’ll see how it all works out,” Reid said. “I don’t have a lot of promises for you. It’ll just be great to get them back going and in the swing.”
Rice returns to a Chiefs offense that is one of two teams in the NFL with four players with more than 220 receiving yards this season. Sunday night, Hollywood Brown’s two touchdowns had him talking postgame about the wide receivers’ “everybody gotta eat,” mentality.
The Chiefs will face the Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, with oddsmakers listing Kansas City as 12.5-point favorites.
