Matthew Stafford Climbs All-Time Leaderboard In Major QB Stat

It took him much more time than he would’ve wanted, but Matthew Stafford has finally claimed his spot in NFL history.

The former No. 1 pick and Super Bowl champion is living his best life with the Los Angeles Rams, even if he’s not playing his best football.

As pointed out by the Los Angeles Rams’ PR department, he just reached another incredible milestone in the win over the Baltimore Ravens:

“QB Matthew Stafford just passed Dan Marino (61,361) and moved to 9th all-time in passing yards,” via Los Angeles Rams PR.

Stafford is one of the most talented and underrated passers the game has ever seen.

It’s a shame to see that most of his numbers were wasted with the Detroit Lions.

However, even by losing him, he helped them win.

The Lions made the most of the massive haul they got in return for his services, and that’s one of the main reasons why they’ve been able to be so competitive in recent years.

The Rams, on the other hand, should be considered a legitimate dark horse to go the distance this season.

They have an elite defense and plenty of talent on offense.

With Kyren Williams there, they don’t even need to rely so heavily on their aging quarterback, and that will most likely be the case if superstar wide receiver Puka Nacua has to miss time after suffering an ankle injury in Week 6.

But if Nacua returns in Week 7, Stafford will most definitely continue to feed him and help him post a record-breaking season, which is something he’s already done in the past with Calvin Johnson and Cooper Kupp.
