The Buffalo Bills will be without tight end Dalton Kincaid against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football.

The Bills are looking to bounce back from a stunning loss to Stefon Diggs and the New England Patriots. Buffalo’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end against their AFC East rivals, with former player Diggs hauling in 10 catches for 146 yards.

With the Bills looking to turn the page, Josh Allen and co. will be short-handed for the trip to Atlanta. Not only will Sean McDermott’s team be without three defensive players — Matt Milano, T.J. Sanders, and safety Damar Hamlin — but Kincaid is also not available.

The tight end was listed as questionable for the game against the Falcons due to an oblique injury, and he was unable to shake it off in time. Kincaid enjoyed a season-high 108 yards on six receptions in the loss to the Patriots.

Kincaid has established himself as a key cog in the Bills' offensive machine, tallying 287 yards and three touchdowns on the season so far. Both stats are team highs.

The Bills' offense has been dealt another blow as wide receiver Curtis Samuel is also inactive. He was limited in practice for two days and out for one entirely, and his presence will be missed by Allen; Samuel has contributed four catches for 35 yards and a touchdown this season.

The Bills elevated safety Jordan Poyer and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips from the practice squad for the game amid their mounting injuries. Meanwhile, the Falcons will be without wide receiver Darnell Mooney, wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III, cornerback Clark Phillips III, running back Nathan Carter, cornerback Billy Bowman, defensive lineman LaCale London, and offensive lineman Jack Nelson.

Allen hopes the loss to the Patriots will help the Bills rediscover their best form. Despite winning each of their first four games of the season, Buffalo had not been playing its best football, so the reigning MVP is confident the loss can help his team turn the corner.

“I think it’s a wake-up call, reset, whatever you want to call it,” Allen said last week. “We had been getting by previous games of maybe not playing our best football, and when you play a team that again, did everything the right way, credit to them for coming into our home stadium and having a really good game plan.

“It does wake you up in terms of every week we’re going to get the team’s best, whoever we're playing's best. We gotta play up to our standard at the end of the day, this is the NFL. Each and every week has got to be earned, and that starts in practice.”
