The Chelsea Chronicle understands the club had scouts in attendance at one international fixture on Monday in order to pay close attention to three of their starting players.
A number of current Blues have made their mark during the current international break, with Estevao Willian starring for Brazil in a win over South Korea.
The England U21s have been well-represented by Chelsea stars too. Tyrique George, Josh Acheampong and Jamie Gittens have all made an impact for the Young Lions.
Germany faced Northern Ireland in a World Cup qualifier on Monday night, and former transfer target Nick Woltermade continued his strong start to the season with another goal.
Chelsea send scouts to watch Karim Adeyemi, Nico Schlotterbeck and Aleksandar Pavlovic
Karim Adeyemi and Nico Schlotterbeck were also starters for Julian Nagelsmann’s side as they battled hard to break down their stubborn opponents, with both being on Chelsea’s radar before.
The Chelsea Chronicle understands that the Blues had scouts present in Belfast for the game.
As per transfer insider Graeme Bailey, Chelsea were keeping tabs on Adeyemi and Schlotterbeck, whilst also keeping an eye on Bayern Munich youngster Aleksandar Pavlovic, who started in midfield.
Chelsea were linked with signing Adeyemi and Schlotterbeck over the summer, with one of their additions in particular one which would have pleased Enzo Maresca after his own demands.

Maresca’s desire for a new centre-back at Chelsea
The Chelsea boss called for the club to sign a new centre-back over the summer following the injury suffered by Levi Colwill at the start of pre-season.
His worst fears have been realised by injuries to the likes of Tosin Adarabioyo, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and Josh Acheampong throughout the campaign too.
This has resulted in Chelsea reportedly softening their stance on signing a new defender in January, and Schlotterbeck will likely be one of the names on their list if they do enter the market.
The Blues ended the win against Liverpool with Reece James and Jorrel Hato at the heart of defence due to injury problems, and despite the win this is a situation the boss would love to avoid in the future.
