Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has broken an England record this international break.
Jordan Pickford kept his eighth consecutive clean sheet for England last week, surpassing Gordon Banks’ record of seven.
Pickford is back in action this evening as Thomas Tuchel’s side take on Latvia, knowing a win will qualify them for the World Cup in the US next summer.
Ahead of the clash, the Everton shotstopper has been speaking to the media and has explained why his animated style has massively helped him.

Jordan Pickford explains why he’s so animated as a goalkeeper
Speaking to the media ahead of England’s World Cup qualifier against Latvia, Pickford explained why being so animated and vocal really helps him.
“Yeah I think every goalkeeper is different,” the 31-year-old admitted.
“I’m quite vocal, communicate with my team and I feel that keeps me in the game. Even if the ball is on the other end of the pitch, I’ll be moving about and keeping the right line and just being switched on constantly.

“It’s something you get used to and something I’ve improved on over the years. Just being in the right position at the right time, keeping communicating with the back four in front of me, and that keeps me in sync with the game and when called upon and should be there and ready to make an action.”
Jordan Pickford speaks on his new Everton contract
Pickford has agreed a four-year contract with Everton, which is ready for him to sign once he returns to Finch Farm.
Asked about the new deal, the Toffees star said it proves how hard he’s been working on the training pitch.
“I think it shows the hard work I have put in,” Pickford explained.
“On the training pitch, I will always give 100 per cent. You learn more about the game as well. I am always trying to improve.
“I am 31 now, which is still young for a goalkeeper. I want to just keep pushing myself.”
