James Maddison is regarded as one of the best number 10s in the Premier League.
Since making his Premier League debut in August 2018 for Leicester City, Maddison has always been regarded as one of the most creative players in the division.
The Tottenham Hotspur star has racked up just shy of 100 goals and laid on 88 assists, which has earned him seven senior caps for England.
With that said, Maddison reckons Everton have a ‘top player’ who is almost as good as him.

James Maddison says Jack Grealish is almost as good as him
EASportsFC’s TikTok account shares a video of Maddison playing a game, which required him to stay quiet until the interviewer named a better player than him.
The 28-year-old kept quiet for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Mason Mount, Jack Grealish and Youri Tielemans before admitting Phil Foden was the better player.
Maddison then admitted he was close to stopping at Grealish.

Maddison and Grealish were often compared to each other during the early stages of their career and on point, Manchester United were exploring a deal to sign them both to play together.
Back in 2020, it was reported that United wanted to sign them in a combined deal worth a whopping £160m.
That never materialised, of course, but it shows how highly-rated they were as youngsters, and they’ve certainly fulfilled their potential.
Grealish has certainly re-established himself as one of the best creative players in the Premier League as he tops the assist charts this season.
