Jordan Love Is On Pace For Career Season

The Green Bay Packers appear to have found another franchise quarterback.

Many believed this to be the case when the team paid Jordan Love the largest contract in NFL history at the time it was signed, but his play this season has certainly backed that up.

Love has looked like an MVP candidate through five games, and he’s starting to get league-wide recognition for his efforts as a dominant passer.

Writer Zach Jacobson noted this on X, showing that Love is on pace to throw for 4,281 yards, throw 31 interceptions and seven touchdowns, and have an elite 70% completion rate.

If you take Jordan Love's numbers through the first five weeks and extrapolate them across a full 17-game season, his 2025 would look like this:

4,281 passing yards

31 touchdowns

7 interceptions

70% completion rate

Those TD-INT ratios are similar to what Aaron Rodgers used to achieve on this team, and fans are already seeing shades of Rodgers in Love.

If Love’s career is anything close to Rodgers’ or Brett Favre’s, Packers fans will continue to be happy and appreciate how good the front office is at drafting QBs.

He has a lot to go before he can be considered an all-time great for this historic franchise, of course, but these returns are certainly encouraging, if nothing else.

After their win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6, the Packers find themselves atop the NFC North standings with a 3-1-1 record, a place that Love would like to keep them over the next several weeks.

If he keeps playing like this, and the defense lives up to its potential, especially with Parsons on the roster, there’s no telling what this team will be capable of down the stretch.
