Former Chiefs Player Sends Warning About The Team

The Kansas City Chiefs expected early-season struggles after Xavier Worthy went down with an injury just two plays into Week 1.

Without Rashee Rice available either, Patrick Mahomes operated three weeks without his top receiving options, and the offense visibly struggled during that stretch.

Since Worthy returned and Rice rejoined the lineup, Kansas City has begun finding its rhythm again, capped by a dominant 30-point victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday night.

Former Chiefs offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz highlighted the potential of this offense and issued a warning about what the team could accomplish moving forward.

“The offense looks great. This is the best the offense has looked in three or four years, now,” Schwartz said on The Jim Rome Show.

Following the Lions game, Mahomes praised general manager Brett Veach for constructing this depth across the roster.

Beyond talent alone, he emphasized the chemistry within the receiving room, noting that this group genuinely wants each other to succeed.

That mindset, Mahomes said, fuels the kind of consistent success Kansas City has sustained over recent years.

The Chiefs currently sit at 3-3, but their season remains very much alive, especially considering two of those wins came against elite opponents.

They defeated the Baltimore Ravens, led by Lamar Jackson, and the Detroit Lions in convincing fashion.

With key offensive pieces returning and Rice potentially rejoining next week, Mahomes’ offense could soon be operating at full strength again.

Kansas City faces matchups against the Washington Commanders and Buffalo Bills over the next three weeks.

The Chiefs have a real opportunity to reestablish themselves among the league’s best teams during this stretch.

Winning both games would send a clear message to the NFL that Andy Reid’s team is back in serious contention for another championship run.
