Nicolas Jackson supported Chelsea teammate Moises Caicedo on social media after the midfielder shared a now-deleted statement about his separation from agent Manuel Sierra.

That's said to have been the case since their contract ended on August 14, with the player having now appointed "people he can trust." Caicedo's post also states that Epic Sports founder Ali Barat does not represent him.

Barat does, though, represent Jackson, as well as Arsenal forward Noni Madueke and one-time Blues target Xavi Simons. His clients also include Dean Huijsen and Soumaila Coulibaly, who signed for Strasbourg from Bundersliga giants Borussia Dortmund last summer.

Caicedo's statement on social media read: "Chelsea Football Club star Moises Caicedo has separated from and is no longer represented by his former agent, Manuel Sierra, of Football Division Worldwide, and he is not represented by Ali Barat of Epic. The contract ended on August 14, 2025, and the player has now appointed people he can trust."

The removal of the post, which frontman Jackson liked, came within minutes, and a revised version was published, removing any mention that "the player has now appointed people that he can trust". That was also deleted, with no statement now on the player's account.

A report from the BBC claims Caicedo will now have his family advise him rather than any agent. They state that the post's removal was due to its awkward wording, with no intention to convey any ill will to Barat or Sierra.

Epic Sports posted about Caicedo on their Instagram account as recently as this month. Their post congratulated the player after he scored for Chelsea against Liverpool.

The Telegraph also reports that Barat has never been the midfielder's agent. Instead, his involvement is said to be limited to advising Caicedo on his career. Sierra helped negotiate his move to the Blues from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion. football.london have approached Sierra for comment.
