Jets players turn on Justin Fields

New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields entered this season hoping to prove to the NFL that he has what it takes to be a starting quarterback in the league after failed stints with the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Unfortunately for Fields, the Jets are the last winless team in the NFL, and he has struggled to get the ball out quickly, leading to an overwhelming number of sacks that have caused him trouble throughout his career.

Still, after his last performance, his worst of the season, head coach Aaron Glenn decided to stand by his starter.

“There’s a number of other guys that have to pick their game up too, so I don’t want to sit there and pin this all on Justin,” Glenn said.

While Fields has the support of his coach, the support of his teammates may be another story.

“Several Jets players believe Tyrod Taylor is their best quarterback, per (SNYtv’s Connor Hughes),” [reported SleeperJets on Twitter.](https://x.com/SleeperJets/status/1977743733417283986)

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“IMO the Jets have nothing to lose. Why not start Taylor and see what he can do and maybe he helps them win a few football games this season,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Yeah, but we all know what Taylor is. He is a serviceable backup QB. What we don’t know is what the Jets look like with Brady Cook,” someone else added.

“Just let Fields & Glenn get the 1st overall pick and then send them both packing. Get something out of this disgusting season,” another fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Gleenn eventually makes the move.
