Everton have made a pretty decent start to the season as they currently reside in eighth place.
David Moyes‘ side have won three, drawn two and lost two of their first seven games and went into the October international break off the back of a dramatic late victory against Crystal Palace.
Everton are targeting a European finish this term, which will require them to finish eighth at the very least, so they are going well at the moment.
Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have really made a big impact following their respective transfers from Manchester City and Chelsea in the summer.
And, there’s another Toffees star who’s been impressing, and Ally McCoist has admitted he would’ve loved to play with him.

Ally McCoist says he would’ve loved to play with Jordan Pickford
Speaking on talkSPORT with Jeff Stelling, former Rangers striker Ally McCoist says he would’ve loved to play with Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
“The goalkeepers generally speaking are half daft, right? That’s a general consensus,” McCoist explained.

“And I think he probably fits that. I mean, I don’t know the lad, but he probably fits that bill perfectly. He just looks as if, you know, I’ll say something about Pickford, Jeff, I don’t know him personally, but I look at him and I think he’d be a great teammate. He looks like it, doesn’t he?”
Jordan Pickford breaks silence on new Everton contract
When Pickford returns to Finch Farm later this week, he will sign a new and improved four-year contract after agreeing on terms.
He was asked about the new deal on England duty this week.
“Obviously everyone knows how happy I am at Everton but I’m not going to go too much into it,” the 31-year-old said.
“I’ve got my England head on for the next two days. I just want to get the qualification, get the win tomorrow and hopefully get another cap and hit number 80. That’s my sole focus at the minute.”
Pickford has the chance to pick up his ninth consecutive clean sheet for England this evening as Thomas Tuchel’s side take on Latvia in a World Cup qualifier.
Victory will secure the Three Lions’ qualification to the World Cup in the US next summer.
