Memphis Grizzlies gear up for Grizz Week with giveaways, community-focused events, and more

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -The Memphis Grizzlies are celebrating Grizz Week, with upcoming events that mark the start of a new season.

Fans will have a chance to pick up Grizzlies swag and enter to win tickets to Opening Night.

The 2025-26 regular season home opening at FedExForum will take place on Wednesday, October 22, at 7:00 p.m.

Grizz Week will begin on Thursday, Oct. 16, with the Memphis City Beautiful Downtown Cleanup, in which Grizzlies volunteers will help clean up the public streets around FedExForum, with celebrations continuing later that evening at The Grove at GPAC.

The Grizzlies Claw Crew will also be in attendance at Zoo Boo at the Memphis Zoo on Friday, October 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Fans are invited to join the Grizzlies for Boo at the Ballpark, a free Halloween festivity that begins at noon on Saturday, October 18, at AutoZone Park.

Fans may participate in Halloween-themed activities, including trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, costume contests, and more.

Grizzly fans may also take part in the Le Bonheur Pumpkin Run on Saturday, October 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at 1000 Ridgeway Loop.

The Claw Crew will attend the Chick-fil-A Superhero Fall Festival at Landers Center on Tuesday, October 21, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

A part of Grizz Week, the Grizzlies will host a Plaza Party on the Big River Steel Plaza on Wednesday, Oct. 22, before tip-off on Opening Night from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Grizzlies Claw Crew, which is the team’s promotional and fan engagement squad, will also set up street corners throughout the city on Tuesday, Oct. 21, and Wednesday, Oct. 22, with swag and ticket giveaways ahead of Opening Night.
