Team USA has had some highly recognizable coaches over the years, ranging from former Duke Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski to longtime Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr. However, after Kerr recently stepped down from his role with USA Basketball, Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra has stepped up to lead the group ahead of the next Olympics.

Spoelstra has managed to gain a lot of respect in the NBA community over the years after winning back-to-back NBA championships with the Heat in 2012 and 2013 and he currently serves as one of the longest-tenured coaches in the league.
Spoelstra has reached the NBA Finals six times since taking over the Heat in 2008.
