Raiders Made 2 Roster Moves On Tuesday

The Las Vegas Raiders secured a 20-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, offering a glimpse of progress despite their 2-4 record and last-place standing in the AFC West.

The win provided some optimism for a team still searching for consistency early in the season.

On Tuesday, Las Vegas made two roster moves designed to address depth concerns along the offensive line, signaling continued efforts to strengthen the interior.

According to KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson, the Raiders signed guard McClendon Curtis to the practice squad.

In a corresponding move, the team released punter Brad Robbins from the practice squad to create room on the roster.

Curtis spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, appearing in five games during that stretch.

He has since spent time on practice squads with the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants. Curtis originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Raiders in 2023.

A product of Chattanooga, he played five seasons there and appeared in 49 games with 38 starts.

He made 30 starts at right guard, seven at left tackle, and one at left guard while earning three first-team All-SoCon honors.

Meanwhile, Robbins was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the sixth round of the 2023 draft.

He appeared in all 17 games for Cincinnati that season, averaging 44.3 yards per punt.

After brief stints with the Buffalo Bills, Las Vegas acquired him in early October, though he remained on the practice squad throughout his time with the team.

When Pete Carroll accepted the head coaching position, he aimed to make the Raiders playoff contenders immediately.

Reality has proven more challenging with Las Vegas working through changes at quarterback and offensive coordinator while relying on younger players in key roles.

Patience will be necessary as the Raiders continue their rebuilding process under new leadership.
