NBA superstar LeBron James reveals big relationship fear

LeBron James is the man who has it all, for those looking from the outside in. Many fans consider him to be the greatest NBA player of all time. Even those who don’t would likely put him second at worst. And his life off the court has been just as wonderful; he’s raised three children with his wife, Savannah, and is a billionaire.

Despite enjoying almost global levels of fame since the age of 16, James has stayed away from its pitfalls. Many young athletes end up with messy personal lives, but LeBron has avoided all of that drama. Speaking on a podcast recently, James revealed his big fear when it comes to relationships, and it makes a lot of sense.

“I don’t want to be alone, that’s for damn sure,” James said. “If I got to fight, crawl, scratch, bite, whatever to keep mine, I’ve got to keep it. I’m an only child in, single-parent household. Next time I’m alone, it would be underneath.

“My wife comes from a two-parent household and siblings in the house. I don’t come from that. It was my mom and my uncles, and my friends just coming in and out. So, me settling down, giving her the key or the garage door code, that was different, bro.”

There’s something oddly endearing about learning that even LeBron struggles with the thought of being alone. His childhood clearly impacted the Lakers man deeply, and has informed his choices as an adult. James has set a stellar example for young men as a role model, so it’s safe to say that everything has worked out well.
