The Jets made some bottom of the roster and practice squad moves today as the team parted ways with second-year defensive tackle Leonard Taylor before adding wide receiver Trenton Irwin.

The undrafted Taylor showed promise as a rookie last season but has been mostly inactive through six games this year, failing to register a blip on the radar. In two games he has picked up a pair of solo tackles and a tackle for loss.
Expect him to catch on somewhere as he showed some pass rush ability along the interior last year.
The Jets then added former Bengals wide receiver Trenton Irwin, who logged a career high 316 yards in 2023, and a personal best four touchdowns the year before. Running back Avery Williams was let go to make room for Irwin.
