Absolutely brutal Bengals news confirmed

The Cincinnati Bengals are running out of time to salvage their season after losing quarterback Joe Burrow to a turf toe injury that is expected to end her regular season. The Bengals have lost four straight heading into their Thursday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Unfortunately for Cincinnati, the best player on their defense, Trey Hendrickson, was expected to be day-to-day leading up to Thursday’s game.

“Bengals edge Trey Hendrickson is day-to-day with a back injury after a good result on the MRI. To even have a chance to play on Thursday is positive news,” [reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Monday.](https://x.com/RapSheet/status/1977783524045259257)

Now, it’s looking like Hendrickson is less likely than ever to be ready for Thursday, as he missed practice on Tuesday.

“Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson (hip) estimated to miss practice on Tuesday. Would not have practiced yesterday, either. Bengals scheduled to practice later this evening,” ESPN’s Ben Baby reported on Tuesday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“We need him,” one Bengals fan wrote bluntly on Twitter.

“Of course he’ll have a back injury. That’s what happens when you’re asked to carry a useless defense the way he has,” someone else added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Cincinnati can salvage its season.
