Everton have made a great start to the season, but James Tarkowski has suggested David Moyes has been ignoring one player who’s a nightmare to defend in training.
David Moyes’ team went into the international break sitting eighth in the Premier League after three wins, two draws and two defeats.
The Toffees have an array of attacking options now and that was highlighted during their 2-1 win over Crystal Palace just before the international break.

Therefore, fitting everyone in is proving tricky for the Everton boss, which has meant that one of the team’s trickiest players has been overlooked this season.

James Tarkowski and Seamus Coleman on Dwight McNeil in training
James Tarkowski and Seamus Coleman have both named Dwight McNeil as the player most likely to attempt to nutmeg them during Everton training.
McNeil had a tough season with the Toffees thus far, having played just 19 minutes of Premier League action under Moyes.
Recently, TBR Football tipped Sean Dyche to bring McNeil to Nottingham Forest should he land the job, after working with him at both Everton and Burnley.
But the winger hasn’t had much joy under Moyes, although clearly he remains a popular figure at Everton and still someone who impresses in training.
When asked who is most likely to attempt a nutmeg in training, Coleman claimed: “Iliman, I would imagine.”
Tarwokski then replied: “Ilman? Dwight does it quite a lot before he goes to pass or shoot, he waits for you to move your leg”. Coleman then agreed that it would be McNeil.
McNeil will struggle to break into the team, given he now faces competition from Jack Grealish, Ilman Ndiaye and Tyler Dibling for the spots on the wing.
James Tarkowski names Everton’s three biggest hot-heads
Tarkowski has named Nathan Patterson and McNeil as two of the most likely Toffees stars to lose their head; however, number one would be Jordan Pickford.
“Patto (Patterson) probably has a strong chance, as he can lose his cool and start acting out on the pitch. I’ve seen Dwight [McNeil] lose it a few times too, but Pato really stands out,” added Tarwowski.
“He can spiral, making wild reactions instead of just raising complaints to the referee. Oh, of course, we can’t forget Jordan (Pickford). Oh, it’s definitely Jordan.”
Currently, Everton are in talks with Pickford over a new contract, as TBR Football has revealed, and they are hoping he will commit his future at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
