AS Monaco’s Ansu Fati has ended up on Everton’s transfer radar.
That’s at least what Sport are reporting, and they mention Everton when covering what could happen with the 22-year-old’s future.
Over the past few years, Fati has struggled with injuries at Barcelona. They sent him on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion during the 2023/24 season, and he had mixed performances.
Hansi Flick didn’t utilise him regularly last season, limiting him to 298 minutes from 11 matches. Last summer, Barcelona allowed the winger to join Monaco on loan with a €11m purchase option.
Monaco’s decision to take a gamble on the Spain international has clearly paid off. He’s scored six goals in five matches of which five were in three league games.
Sport report Fati’s resurgence at Monaco hasn’t gone unnoticed in the market.
Several Premier League clubs are already following him and only Everton are mentioned. The Ligue 1 side are not in a rush to make a decision on the attacker’s future.
Monaco will maintain their confidence in Fati and hope that he remains fit. If he extends his impressive run, a ‘risky bet that could pay off’. They would then exercise the purchase option at the end of the season.
Sport report Monaco and Fati will then ‘decide what’s best for his future’. His good start to the season has already seen Everton take notice.
