Kenan Yildiz has sparkled for Juventus this season. He scored for Turkey in their 4-1 win over Georgia on Tuesday, snudging the hype a bit higher. Now, Chelsea are said to be preparing a major move for the talent.
TuttoSport report the Bianconeri still face struggles over a new deal as talks have slowed down.
The player currently earns €1.5m per season. There is a gap of €500,000 between what Juve are offering in a new deal and what Yildiz’s entourage wants.
As of now, progress hasn’t been made. And as a result of that, Chelsea have entered the scenario.
The Blues have ‘fallen in love’ with the 20-year-old. They are looking to take advantage of the contract situation and are willing to offer him big wages too.
Yildiz’s father has met with Juventus’ executives multiple times in the past few weeks. The Italian giants expected fewer hitches than they’ve experienced but there is still confidence about a renewal.
The report states that even now, Juve can’t imagine a future without Yildiz.
Chelsea are expected to make an offer around spring next year. The idea would be they’d take advantage of stalled contract negotiations.
At that point, both Yildiz and Juve will consider approaches, but only if no progress is made over a new contract.
