Manchester City and EA SPORTS FC™ Unveil Futuristic Fourth Kit with a Digital Twist

Summary:

Manchester City’s new fourth kit, created with PUMA and EA SPORTS FC™, features built-in NFC technology that unlocks digital content and in-game rewards.

The design blends EA SPORTS FC’s signature green with futuristic metallic accents and a digitally embedded crest.

The collection is available now on PUMA’s website, at Manchester City Official Stores, and through select retailers worldwide.

The past few months have seen football explore new ways for fans to connect with clubs off the pitch through exciting and unconventional product drops. The latest launch in this space is a gamified version of Manchester City’s fourth kit, created through a collaboration between EA SPORTS FC™ and PUMA.

Embedded in the crest of the new shirt is an NFC chip – a wireless microchip that links the physical apparel to digital content, unlocking immersive and interactive experiences. Fans can simply tap their phones to the crest to access exclusive digital content and in-game rewards in EA SPORTS FC™ 26.

This fusion of the digital and physical extends into the design of the kit itself. EA SPORTS FC’s signature green dominates: a dark forest green forms the base, accented by turquoise and metallic triangular graphics. A light green crew-neck collar, metallic PUMA cat, and the pronounced metallic Manchester City crest complete the futuristic look.

The campaign’s visual theme continues with glitched imagery featuring Oscar Bobb, Rayan Cherki, and Joško Gvardiol, along with a digitised group shot of key Manchester City players – with Erling Haaland front and centre.

The Manchester City men’s first team will wear the kit in select UEFA Champions League away fixtures, starting against Villarreal on October 21. The women’s team will debut the kit in select domestic matches throughout the season.

“This kit isn’t just something fans wear — it’s a portal that brings EA SPORTS FC™ 26 to life on and off the pitch, letting supporters engage with Manchester City in ways that are immersive, interactive, and completely new,” said James Taylor, Director of Football Partnerships at EA SPORTS.

The collection is available now on PUMA’s website, at Manchester City Official Stores, and through select retailers worldwide.
