Skip Bayless rips ‘fraudulent’ Josh Allen & Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills suffered a massive setback during Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season, falling to the Atlanta Falcons, 24-14, on Monday Night Football.

It was the first time under head coach Sean McDermott that the Bills lost back-to-back games before a bye week.

Talking heads in the media have been discussing the Bills and whether they are Super Bowl contenders or pretenders following their recent struggles, with Skip Bayless being one of the team’s biggest critics.

Bayless ripped the Bills for relying too heavily on quarterback Josh Allen, saying the team is “fraudulent” and not in the Super Bowl conversation.

“They’re relying on Josh Allen to make three or four viral plays a game to win, and I don’t think it’ll work against a good team, as they faced last night, or a very good team,” Bayless said on Underdog’s The Arena: Gridiron. “When your defense is 17th in points allowed, 21st in takeaways; it’s just not good enough.

“I say Buffalo is not better than Kansas City, not better than Denver, not better than Indy, not better than Pittsburgh. I don’t think they’re better than the Chargers. They’re falling down into the pack and …this is fraudulent because I don’t see a hint of a Super Bowl team.”

The Bills will observe their bye week in Week 7 with an opportunity to regroup, so we’ll have to see what changes McDermott and the team can make over the next week.

Buffalo’s first opportunity to bounce back will come in Week 8 on the road against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, October 26.
