“You can understand why other nations want Biancheri, looking at his performance. Very busy and energetic, while his goal was well taken, he showed great composure to be able to take the ball around the keeper. A very good first start for the U21s.”
Additionally, Welsh journalist Dewi Powell tweeted on Biancheri’s performance.
“Our senior team is crying out for a goal-scoring striker like Biancheri. Whenever he comes through, it won’t be a minute too soon.”

Gabriele Biancheri could be on the cusp of Wales senior debut
Biancheri turned 19 last month, and with his U21 form for United and Wales, senior football should be just around the corner.
This could see Craig Bellamy call Biancheri into the first-team during next month’s international break, which would be a smart decision by the Wales head coach, to fend off Italy and Canada.
However, additionally, United must also make a decision over Biancheri as he is beginning to be held back by the limitations of academy football.
Biancheri desperately needs to go on loan in January to secure valuable experiences and test himself against professionals.
United are happy with Biancheri and his development, but to allow him to continue improving, he needs senior football.
