Everton talent captains his international side to a 7-0 win in superb performance

Everton have several first-teamers on international duty this month.

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was in action for England last night as they defeated Latvia 5-0 to qualify for the World Cup next year.

Defenders Seamus Coleman and Jake O’Brien kept clean sheets for Ireland in the 1-0 victory against Armenia.

Iliman Ndiaye scored a sensational goal for Senegal against Mauritania, and there was another Toffees talent on show in a thumping 7-0 win.

Harrison Armstrong captains England under-19s to 7-0 win

Everton insiders are convinced Harrison Armstrong will be a superstar one day and David Moyes was happy to keep him in the first team this season.

But ultimately, the decision was made to loan him to Championship outfit Preston North End to accelerate his development.

Armstrong has impressed Preston fans so far this season, and he was in action for England’s under-19s yesterday.

The Everton teenager captained his side to a 7-0 win against Wales, playing alongside Liverpool midfielder Trey Nyoni.

Preston boss has been so impressed by Harrison Armstrong this season

Speaking earlier this month, Preston manager Paul Heckingbottom heaped praise on the Everton loanee.

“I’m pleased with all of the midfielders,” said Heckingbottom after beating Charlton Athletic 2-0.

“Ben has been excellent, another excellent performance, Harrison is only going to get better and better, I think you can see it.

“He certainly doesn’t play like an 18-year-old.”

If Armstrong continues to impress in the Championship and on the international stage with England’s youth, he will likely be back in Moyes’ first-team plans next year.
