The Green Bay Packers had a lot going for them heading into the 2025 NFL season, but it was hard for fans to be fully optimistic about this team.
Adding a player like Micah Parsons was going to be a big addition on defense, a unit that was slated to be strong, but Jordan Love‘s ability to take the game over remained to be seen.
Thankfully, he’s answered the call through five games and is among the league leaders in many statistical categories, as analyst Jacob Morley indicated on X.
While Love doesn’t lead the league in any one category, it is encouraging to see him in the top five in passer rating, having just two interceptions, and having a high completion percentage.
Jordan Love ranks in the top 10 of the NFL in the following passing categories:
Passer rating 110.9 (4th)
Completion percentage 70.1 (7th)
Average gain 8.56 (2nd)
Passing yards per game 251.8 (7th)
Touchdown percentage 6.1 (6th)
Interceptions 2 (6th lowest)

Being strong in one of these areas isn’t necessarily a recipe for long-term success, but the fact that he’s elite in several ways is something fans can be excited about moving forward.
Love has played like an MVP candidate to this point in the season, and if the defense can hold up their side of the bargain, the Packers could be on their way to an NFC North title and a chance at a deep playoff run.
He’s been able to put up these numbers even without two of his best receivers, Christian Watson and Jayden Reed, so his game could get to another level when they are on the field.
This team could gain momentum under Love over the next few weeks, thanks to their easier matchups on paper, which could boost their confidence on the offensive side of the ball.
