Fantasy Football Start/Sit Week 7

You know the feeling. It’s why you’re here. It’s that glorious, maddening, weekly puzzle that consumes us: the classic “start-or-sit” dilemma. The difference between glorious victory and soul-crushing defeat. And we are all looking for that “edge,” aren’t we? That little nugget of fantasy football data that pats us on our tushies and tells us everything will be ok. A gentle nudge, if you will. I want you to know that I’m here in Week 7 brewing up the solutions. This column is the product of pure, uncut obsession, fueled by damn fine coffee and a pathological need to win.

This is me nudging you, friends. *pats tushie* Now, let’s get this ‘W’.

Start/Sit for Fantasy Football Week 7

QUARTERBACKS

Start: Jared Goff (DET vs TB) – Dome track + pass-protection edge means layered crossers and timing throws should be on schedule. I’m leaning into red-zone passing volume and recent target consolidation (St. Brown and LaPorta) for an efficient QB1 line.

Start: C.J. Stroud (HOU @ SEA) – Everything points to 35+ attempts against soft zones that match his rhythm game. I’m banking on a couple of play-action shots to Nico to clear the ceiling.

Sit: Cameron Ward (TEN vs NE) – This profiles as a pace-down spot with disguises that force checkdowns and muddy reads. I’m fading a rookie versus pressure looks that caps big plays and turns drives into field goals.

Sit: Geno Smith (LV @ KC) – Arrowhead noise plus disguised coverages that squeeze the middle of the field is a bad mix for Geno. I’m bracing for sacks, stalls, picks, and a 12–15 point slog.
