Chelsea have been handed an invitation to compete in what looks to be an elite new tournament aimed at those who are part of the future of football.
Lionel Messi has launched the ‘Messi Cup’, inviting the academies of a number of the sides who have left an impact on him during his career to test themselves against each other in December.
Chelsea will be competing against the likes of Manchester City, Barcelona and Inter Milan’s Under 16s sides, with there no doubt being an opportunity for scouts to get a look at some of the stars of tomorrow.
The Chelsea Chronicle have outlined three youngsters at the club who could be about to announce themselves to the world ahead of a glistening career at Stamford Bridge.

Three Chelsea youngsters who could star at the Messi Cup
Isago Silva
Many will believe Isago Silva is destined for big things in the game with him being the son of Chelsea cult hero, Thiago Silva.
The Brazilian currently plays as a left-back, and has made his debut for the Under 18s as he looks to recreate some of the brilliance of his father.
He will no doubt relish the chance at coming up against the academy of Newell’s Old Boys, given the rivalry between Brazil and Argentina throughout the years.
Riley Ebho
Despite the transfer window being closed, Chelsea have not stopped adding top talents to their academy, with one of the most recent being Riley Ebho.
The Blues have brought the right-back in from West Ham after already making nine appearances in the U18 Premier League.
It remains to be seen if he will make his debut for any of the academy sides before he gets the opportunity to represent the Blues in Miami.
Jashayde Greenwood
Another new addition made by the club in recent days is Jashayde Greenwood, who joins from Wolves to bring some firepower to the Chelsea academy.
The striker is another who has already featured two years above his age, and would relish the chance to represent his new side on a big stage.
Greenwood has also enjoyed a very strong start to life on the international stage, scoring three goals in his first six games for the England U16s.
