Chelsea 'Ready Super Contract' Worth £168K A Week As Blues Line Up Raid For Player Zidane Is A Big Fan Of

Chelsea are preparing a move for Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, according to reports in the Italian media.

Tuttosport claim that the Blues will “ready” a “super contract” for the Turkish international worth €10m a year (which is roughly £168,000 a week).

Juve are currently in talks with Yildiz‘s representatives about a new deal that would increase his current €1.5m a year salary.

However, the Serie A side have not managed to find an agreement with the player so far, and that has prompted speculation about a potential move to the Premier League.

Chelsea are not the only English club who have been linked

It was reported last week that Arsenal had sent a scout to watch Yildiz in action. An observer was reportedly present for the 0-0 draw between Juve and AC Milan at the start of this month.

At the moment, there are no suggestions that the Gunners intend to put a formal bid on the table for the 20-year-old ahead of the January transfer window, but it’s clear that Enzo Maresca’s side won’t be the only team in the running if the player becomes available in the New Year.

A Juventus legend has praised Yildiz

Speaking in an interview earlier this week, Juve and France icon Zinedine Zidane spoke out about some of the players he rates hightly. As well as mentioning Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, and PSG pair Vitinha & Joao Neves, he also had a few words to say about Yildiz:

“I like Kenan Yildiz, he is a good player. He scores goals. He has quality. He still needs to improve and prove himself. Juventus are doing well with [Igor] Tudor, he is slowly improving. I am happy for him and for Juventus.”

It remains to be seen if the Turkish ace will end up at Stamford Bridge, but he clearly has a very bright future in the game.
