**ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —** The Broncos are set to honor one of the most beloved players in franchise history and their most recent championship team.
Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas will be posthumously inducted into the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame during this week's Alumni Weekend festivities, which will conclude with the Broncos' Week 7 game against the New York Giants.
During Alumni Weekend, the Broncos will also honor the 10th anniversary of their Super Bowl 50 title and welcome back players, coaches and staff from that team. Approximately 150 alumni will be in attendance, including Super Bowl 50 captains and Pro Football Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and DeMarcus Ware.
Thomas will be represented throughout the weekend by his parents, Katina Smith and Bobby Thomas, and many other family members will also be in attendance.
Thomas and the Super Bowl 50 team will be honored at a private reception on Saturday night, when Broncos Owner & CEO Greg Penner and Owner Carrie Walton Penner will present Thomas' parents with his Ring of Fame jacket and ring.
Thomas' Ring of Fame pillar will then be unveiled to the public on Sunday morning before the game. The pillar unveiling will take place at 11:30 a.m. at Ring of Fame Plaza on the south end of Empower Field at Mile High. Voice of the Broncos Dave Logan will emcee the unveiling, which will also feature Super Bowl 50 head coach Gary Kubiak and Thomas' parents.
During halftime of Sunday's game, the Super Bowl 50 team will be honored and Thomas' name will be unveiled on the Level 5 facade of the stadium.
A five-time Pro Bowler, Thomas [will become the 38th Ring of Famer in franchise history in his first year of eligibility](https://www.denverbroncos.com/news/super-bowl-50-champion-demaryius-thomas-elected-to-denver-broncos-ring-of-fame). Thomas, who unexpectedly passed away in 2021, ranks second in franchise history in career receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He also holds the team's single-season and single-game receiving records.
Thomas was a key piece of the Broncos' Super Bowl 50 team, which earned the third Lombardi Trophy in franchise history. Denver defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10 at Levi's Stadium in Super Bowl 50 to cap a run to the title.
The Super Bowl 50 team included Manning and Ware; a pair of 1,000-yard receivers in Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders; a fearsome pass rush led by Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller; the vaunted "No Fly Zone" secondary with Aqib Talib, Chris Harris, T.J. Ward, Darian Stewart, Bradley Roby and more; and many other key players.
This weekend, Broncos Country will have the chance to celebrate the indelible impact of Thomas and the Super Bowl 50 championship team.
