The 2025-26 NBA campaign is set to tip off in less than a week. One of the big questions ahead of the season was whether former MVP Russell Westbrook would feature or not. The 9-time All-Star had yet to find a team after declining his player option with the Denver Nuggets.
Throughout the offseason, Russ was linked with teams like the Houston Rockets and even a potential return to the LA Clippers. However, the most enduring rumors were regarding the Sacramento Kings. And those talks have now come to fruition, with Shams Charania announcing that Westbrook has agreed to a deal with the franchise.

Westbrook averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game for the Nuggets last season. Sacramento becomes the sixth team he has joined since leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder. Fans will be excited to see Brodie playing NBA basketball this season; the league just isn’t as exciting without him.
