Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has had some real ups and downs during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Chalobah was frozen out of Chelsea‘s first-team squad last season before being restored in January.
Following his return to the club after a loan spell at Crystal Palace, he was then able to lift up both the Club World Cup and Conference League trophies.
Clearly, then, the centre-back has had good and bad moments at Chelsea.
Trevoh Chalobah cried after scoring first goal for Chelsea
Another good moment in a Chelsea shirt for Chalobah came on his Premier League debut three years ago.
That day, the Blues beat Palace 3-0, with the 26-year-old scoring his first goal for the club.
Coming through Chelsea’s academy, it was a very emotional event for Chalobah. In fact, after the ball had found its way into the back of Palace’s net, Chalobah dropped to the ground in literal tears.
“When I scored, I didn’t know what to do,” the England international was quoted as saying by BBC Sport after the game. “I dropped to my knees. I was crying.”
Despite being exiled at one point and Chelsea signing other central defenders, Chalobah is still going strong in west London.
He has missed just one game in the Premier League this season, and that was because of suspension.
An ACL injury to Levi Colwill means Enzo Maresca is having to rely on the likes of Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo a bit more in the current campaign.

Trevoh Chalobah’s goal record at Chelsea
Since his strike against Palace in 2022, Chalobah has gone on to score six more times. Two of those goals have come this season against Manchester United and West Ham United.
In total, Chalobah has scored seven goals in 113 appearances for Chelsea, the kind of return that you expect from a centre-half.
Chelsea’s next Premier League game will see them travel to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest. If the Blues get their set-pieces right and Chalobah starts on the day, he could easily increase his tally.
