Washington Commanders: Lose Veteran Target for Extended Period

Washington Commanders’ veteran wide receiver Noah Brown has battled a nagging knee injury since mandatory minicamp and a groin injury sustained in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers. As a result, he has missed the last four weeks of practice and games. Meanwhile, Chris Moore, Luke McCaffrey, and Jaylin Lane have each seen their roles increase, with Brown sidelined.

According to Adam Schefter, the Commanders have placed Noah Brown on injured reserve, sidelining him for at least the next four games. The earliest he can return is Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins. However, since the team has a BYE in Week 12, Brown could realistically return for Week 13 against the Denver Broncos.

During Wednesday’s press conference, Dan Quinn shared that the two-time Pro Bowler will practice this week. McLaurin’s status for Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys will ultimately depend on how he feels during practice.

The Commanders are hosting Treylon Burks for a visit on Wednesday. The former 1st-round pick suffered a fractured collarbone in late July, resulting in him missing the first five games of the season. After being medically cleared to play, the Tennessee Titans waived Burks from injured reserve last week and later cleared waivers, allowing him to sign with any team.
