Patriots Are Reportedly Looking To Make Big Move At Trade Deadline

The New England Patriots have made big improvements this season under first-year head coach Mike Vrabel and have already equaled last year’s win total.

New England has upcoming games against the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns, and with a path to a potential playoff berth coming together, it is reportedly busy on the trade market.

“Per Rickey Scoops, the Patriots have been on the phone with teams and are aggressively looking to trade for a wide receiver before the deadline,” Savage Sports wrote on X.

Last season, the Patriots had arguably the league’s worst wide receivers, but the addition of Stefon Diggs and the growth of Kayshon Boutte have turned things around for quarterback Drake Maye.

As solid as those two wideouts have been, there hasn’t been much production around them, and with how good Maye has looked, it’s exciting to think about what this offense could do if there were an additional upgrade.

The most exciting name on the market is New Orleans Saints receiver Chris Olave, who has gotten off to a strong start catching passes from Spencer Rattler.

But with the Saints clearly not going anywhere this year, Olave could be made available.

The Saints could also look to move veterans Brandin Cooks or Rashid Shaheed, while other potential targets around the NFL would include Allen Lazard (New York Jets), Tyler Lockett (Tennessee Titans) and Jakobi Meyers (Las Vegas Raiders).

It’s not the most stellar crop, but Olave would be the big prize who could pair with Maye for years to come.
