Baltimore Scores from the Spot
Chelsea began the match with authority, dominating possession and testing Paris FC early with long-range efforts from Nüsken and Cuthbert. The French visitors found it difficult to escape their defensive third but managed to remain organized, denying Chelsea clear opportunities despite the pressure.
The first major chance came when Cuthbert found space down the left and delivered a pinpoint pass into the box for Beever-Jones. She turned sharply in the area, but her shot was blocked by a Paris FC defender, a crucial intervention to keep the score level.
Paris FC held firm for the opening 25 minutes, frustrating Chelsea with disciplined defending. However, the deadlock was broken following a VAR intervention. A foul by Le Moguedec on Nüsken, a stamp on the heel inside the penalty area, was reviewed and confirmed. The referee pointed to the spot, and Baltimore stepped up to convert with confidence, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to give Chelsea the lead.
Rytting Kaneryd’s First UWCL Goal
Chelsea continued their good form and doubled their advantage in the 39th minute. Thompson, surging down the left with blistering pace, whipped in a dangerous cross that found Rytting Kaneryd unmarked in the box. Her looping header soared over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net to make it 2–0.
The goal gave Chelsea a noticeable boost, as they grew increasingly composed and began to carve out more chances. They nearly added a third before the break when a Cuthbert corner found Aggie Beever-Jones, whose powerful header crashed off the underside of the crossbar — inches away from a first-half brace for the forward.

Alyssa Thompson on the Scoresheet
Chelsea charged out of the gates in the second half, finding their third goal just 90 seconds after the restart. Walsh delivered a precise cross to the far post, where Beever-Jones just missed the ball, but Alyssa Thompson was perfectly positioned to slot it home. It was Thompson’s first goal for Chelsea, and her first on the European stage.
Chelsea extended their lead further in the 63rd minute. During a corner from Baltimore, Sam Kerr found herself completely unmarked at the back post. Her header bounced on the floor, making it impossible for the Paris FC goalkeeper to save, and Cuthbert was on hand to finish the move and make it 4–0.
Despite holding a commanding lead, Chelsea did not ease up and continued to press forward. Paris FC attempted to counter by pressing high and intercepting passes, but they lacked the quality to create meaningful attacks. Four minutes of stoppage time were added, which Chelsea calmly saw out to secure a dominant victory.
