The Bucs are one of the NFL’s hottest storylines from the first six weeks of the NFL season with their 5-1 record and thrilling victories over the Atlanta Falcons (23-20), Seattle Seahawks (38-35) and, most recently, the San Francisco 49ers (30-19). And while the team’s first four wins came in fourth-quarter comebacks, the Week 6 win over San Francisco came with a 20-16 halftime lead the Bucs never relinquished. Early MVP candidate Baker Mayfield completed 17 of 23 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns, improving his TD-to-interception ratio to 12-to-1 through six games.

The Lions return home looking to rebound from their second loss of the season, 30-17 to the Chiefs in Kansas City in Week 6, and build on their 2-0 record at Ford Field early in the season. Detroit will play without starting safety Brian Branch, who was ejected in a postgame scuffle after its explosive offense averaged just 5.6 yards per play and its defense allowed 10 fourth-quarter points as the Chiefs pulled away late.
