The Baltimore Ravens are spiraling at 1-5, and the fanbase isn’t hiding their frustration anymore. During their Week 6 home game against the Los Angeles Rams, M&T Bank Stadium echoed with “Fire Harbaugh” chants loud enough to make national headlines.

But ESPN’s Dan Graziano threw cold water on any coaching change fantasies. He flat-out said John Harbaugh isn’t going anywhere, despite the ugly start. Ravens fans heard that take and absolutely lost it.
Dan Graziano Says John Harbaugh’s Job is Safe Despite Ravens’ 1-5 Disaster
Graziano addressed the chants directly, telling fans what they didn’t want to hear. He acknowledged that anything was possible if losses kept piling up.
But right now, Harbaugh’s seat isn’t even warm. The ESPN insider pointed to the resume that makesfiring Harbaugh nearly impossible to justify.

Since taking over in 2008, Harbaugh has won over 60 percent of his games across 18 seasons. That’s 13 playoff appearances and a Super Bowl ring in 2013.
In today’s NFL, where coaches get axed after two mediocre seasons, that kind of longevity and success buys serious job security. The Ravens organization values stability, and Harbaugh represents the gold standard of consistent leadership.
Here’s the brutal reality Baltimore faces. Only four teams since 1970 have crawled back to the playoffs after starting 1-5.
The 1998 Buffalo Bills and 2015 Kansas City Chiefs pulled off miracles, but they’re exceptions that prove the rule. The math is ugly, and the history is worse.
Graziano even floated a hypothetical that made the situation more complicated. If Baltimore did fire Harbaugh, he’d instantly become the hottest coaching candidate available.
Every team with an opening would be throwing money at a proven winner with a playoff pedigree. The irony wasn’t lost on anyone.
NFL Fans Go Nuclear on ESPN’s Dan Graziano for Defending John Harbaugh
Social media turned into a firing range when Graziano’s take hit the timeline. Ravens fans, already furious about the season, redirected their anger straight at the messenger.
One fanwrote, “If losses had bonuses, he’d buy the NFL.”
Anotheradded, “He won’t lose it in season, but after the seasons he’s history if they don’t make the AFCG atleast.”
A thirdpointed out, “This dude has repeatedly proven he can’t get to the Super Bowl with the MVP of the league…Lamar needs a ring. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time for him to go…”
A fourthnoted, “I agree he’d be a good candidate for someone else. No one should be coached by the same guy for 18 years. We need to change. Someone else will love him.”
A fifthquestioned the logic entirely,”Not buying it. If they crash and burn to end the season it’s no way you can justify keeping him unless Biscotti want empty seats at the bank next year too.”
The controversy shows the impossible spot Baltimore finds itself in right now. Harbaugh’s past success makes him nearly untouchable, but the present disaster demands accountability.
Fans want answers, but management clearly believes continuity beats panic moves. Whether that patience pays off or costs them a playoff spot, only the next 11 games will tell.
