The Pittsburgh Steelers will kick off the action for Week 7 of the NFL regular season. On Thursday night, the Steelers will travel to Paycor Stadium to take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Last week, the Steelers took on another AFC North rival in the Cleveland Browns. It was a domination by the Steelers, and one seen by their home crowd at Acrisure Stadium.

However, if you happened to have watched that game, you may have noticed the shape the field was in. Not many teams play on natural grass these days, and it’s very rare to have an NFL team sharing a field with a college team.
A field in that shape is going to raise some concerns. That is why Steelers legendary quarterback Ben Roethlisberger made a comment on what the team should do about their stadium: Build the Pitt Panthers a new stadium.

“I firmly believe that Pitt should put like a 35,000-person stadium up in Oakland. Pack that thing, because when you’ve got 65,000or 70,000 in Acrisure and it’s only half full, what’s that look like?” Roethlisberger said on the ‘Footbahlin’ podcast.

Roethlisberger’s comments make a lot of sense. For a long time, people have complained about the field conditions in Pittsburgh. Now is the chance to actually do something about it.
