Commanders Made 3 Roster Moves On Wednesday

The Washington Commanders are making roster adjustments after dropping to 3-3 following their Monday night loss to the Chicago Bears.

General manager Adam Peters executed three moves on Tuesday to address immediate needs and provide depth across multiple positions.

The front office is acting decisively to stabilize a team searching for answers during a challenging stretch of the season.

Washington placed wide receiver Noah Brown on the Reserve/Injured list due to ongoing groin and knee issues that have kept him out for four consecutive games.

Brown will miss the next four contests and is expected to return in Week 11 when the Commanders travel to Madrid to face the Miami Dolphins.

To bolster the defensive line, the team signed free-agent defensive end Drake Jackson, who brings experience despite an injury-plagued career.

The former San Francisco 49ers second-round pick from 2022 has appeared in 23 games with 21 tackles, nine pass breakups, and six sacks.

Jackson missed most of 2023 on injured reserve and sat out the entire 2024 season recovering from patellar tendon surgery before San Francisco waived him in May.

The Commanders also added veteran guard Julian Good-Jones to the practice squad, providing offensive line depth as the team navigates injuries and roster turnover.

Additionally, Washington opened the 21-day practice window for cornerback Jonathan Jones, who has been sidelined since Week 2 with a hamstring injury sustained against Green Bay.

The team must activate Jones before the window closes or place him back on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

These moves reflect the urgency facing Washington as they attempt to correct course and remain competitive in a tight division race.
