The 2025 NFL season hasn't quite gone according to plan for first-year head coach Aaron Glenn and the New York Jets — an embarrassing 13-11 loss to the Denver Broncos last Sunday in London sank the Jets to 0-6.
There have been a few bright spots for New York, namely running back Breece Hall. The fourth-year standout is up to 560 total yards from scrimmage and is averaging 4.7 yards per rush.

Naturally, Glenn was asked about trade rumors circling Hall's name, rumors that originated during the preseason and continue to permeate.

The Jets coach attempted to pour cold water on the rumors during his Wednesday press conference: "They're rumors - I still feel the same way," he said when queried. Glenn has previously stated that he would like the team to keep Hall.

Ahead of the Jets' Week 5 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Hall seemed to pencil in his desire to stay a Jet.
“This is my fifth month dealing with this now,” he told reporters. “At this point, it is what it is. I’m here. I want to be here. I love being a New York Jet and everything."
After the Week 6 loss, Hall's Instagram post told a different story. "They want me to lay down but I got sum to stand for.... #Free20," he wrote along with a series of photos (20 is Hall's number).
The running back was defensive when asked about the post by reporters on Wednesday. "So you think that when I'm playing, I'm thinking about getting traded?" he asked.

"You think I wake up thinking about getting traded? I have a very simple routine. I wake up, I take a shower, I brush my teeth, wash my face, put my clothes on, come to the facility, and go about my workday. And I go home, I watch some film, I play some video games, and go to bed.
"So that's my week right there."
Hall added that the #Free20 comment was "referencing being in the moment, being in the game. I'm ready for whatever."
New York was expected to rely on a three-man tandem of Hall, second-year runner Braelon Allen, and rookie Isaiah Davis (2024 draft pick, didn't play) out of the backfield.

Outside of star receiver Garrett Wilson and standout rookie tackle Armand Membou, the Jets haven't gotten much out of their offense.

Free agent signing Justin Fields has mostly underwhelmed at the quarterback position, highlighted by the team's net -10 passing yards last Sunday against the Broncos.
