The New York Jets suffered one of their most concerning performances of the season in a 13-11 loss to the Denver Broncos in London.
Quarterback Justin Fields endured nine sacks and completed just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards, resulting in minus-10 net passing yards for the offense.
The struggles prompted widespread calls for a quarterback change, but head coach Aaron Glenn quickly dismissed those suggestions and reaffirmed his confidence in Fields moving forward.
Fields did not shy away from the criticism following the defeat.
He acknowledged the need for adjustments while taking accountability for his conservative approach throughout the game.
“I feel like I’ve been a little too conservative in a sense,” Fields said. “Probably just be a little bit more aggressive. I’ve always just been big on ball security and not putting the ball in jeopardy but it comes to a point where you have to find that healthy balance.”

The 26-year-old quarterback has shown flashes of dynamic playmaking ability, but inconsistency and protection breakdowns have derailed offensive rhythm.
Through five games this season, Fields has completed 65 percent of his passes for 799 yards with four touchdowns and a 94.2 passer rating.
He has not thrown an interception but has been sacked 26 times, including nine against Denver.
Fields has also contributed 235 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground, averaging 6.2 yards per carry.
The Jets signed Fields to a two-year, $40 million contract in March with expectations that he would provide stability at quarterback.
Now sitting at 0-6 under Glenn, the organization faces mounting pressure to find solutions on offense.
New York hosts the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, beginning a two-game homestand that could prove critical in avoiding an 0-7 start and establishing offensive consistency.
