In his rookie year, Murray set the NBA record for threes made in a season, and while his shot from long distance has been less potent the last two seasons, he has improved on the defensive side of the ball tremendously. So much so the Kings are set to probably be in a world of hurt to start the season without him due to his thumb injury. The Kings currently don’t have anyone else at his size (6’8”) who can play strong defense, or even play the forward positions naturally.
Last season, the 25-year-old averaged 12.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists in 34 minutes per game.
Congrats to Keegan!
Now, on to Keon Ellis and his contract situation.
