The Green Bay Packers are preparing for a Week 7 meeting with the Arizona Cardinals after getting back to their winning ways with a 27-18 triumph over Joe Flacco and the Cincinnati Bengals at home last Sunday.
It was not exactly a walk-in-the-park victory for Green Bay, as the Bengals hung around up to the fourth quarter, but the Packers eventually made the right plays to gather their third win in the 2025 NFL season.
Rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden continued his steady rise in the Cincy game, as he posted a season-best 86 receiving yards on just three catches and five targets. One of his receptions went for 31 yards during a drive in the fourth quarter that led to an important field goal for the Packers, who improved to 3-1-1 overall and 3-0 at home.

Golden is in just his first year in the NFL with only five games to his name, to date. But he’s already built a great rapport with his teammates, which he believes has been a major key behind Green Bay’s success inexecuting during high-leverage moments.
ViaMike Spofford of the Packers’ official website:
“The chemistry,” is what rookie receiver Matthew Golden pointed to as the key in those clutch moments. “We work a lot of things at practice so it’s nothing new to us. Whenever we’re put in those positions, we have the utmost confidence that we can get the job done. It shows whenever we need those important drives, I feel like we get them done every time.”
The Packers certainly have a talented roster on both sides of the field. Offensively, they are still operating at less than a hundred percentdue to injuries, but those have not stopped Green Bay from being a top-10 team in the league so far in the 2025 campaign in terms of scoring offense and total offense.
