Arsenal are said to be interested in an up and coming Germany international.

Arsenal are being tipped to add further defensive depth in the near future, with reports in Germany claiming the Gunners could continue their recent spending habits. The Gunners have spent big in recent times, committing more than £200million to new arrivals in a bid to end the more than two-decade long wait for another Premier League title.

The pressure is on for Mikel Arteta this season after regularly falling short in recent seasons, and it’s so far, so good, with the Gunners currently top of the Premier League table coming out of the second international break.

It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, though, and Arsenal have parts of their game they need to improve, while they now also know they must play without star man Martin Odegaard for around a month due to a knee injury.

What Arsenal do in the January transfer window is likely to depend on what happens between now and then, with the Gunners already possessing a squad with plenty of depth following a busy summer. It would likely take a few injuries to force Arsenal into January action, with little business expected. Although, the summer window could be very different.

Arsenal eye Germany international

Reports in Germany claim there may be an opportunity that Arsenal don’t want to miss, with talented young Eintracht Frankfurt star Nathaniel Brown said to be of interest. The 22-year-old won his first Germany cap during this break having impressed at left-back in Bundesliga.

BILD say Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all in the mix, but Brown turned down advances last summer, and a move is not likely until next summer, and a deal could be difficult then, too. Brown is under contract until 2030 and valued at £26million by Transfermarkt, a value that could increase now that he’s a German international.

Arsenal’s main options at left-back are currently Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly, while Jurrien Timber can also play on that side, as well as the right.
