Premier League champions Liverpool will hope to return to winning ways when they face Manchester United on Sunday.
The Reds have suffered three consecutive defeats across all competitions, including losses against both Crystal Palace and Chelsea in the Premier League.
That run of form has allowed title rivals Arsenal to leapfrog Arne Slot’s side into top spot in the Premier League table, and the Dutchman will be desperate for Liverpool to get the better of Man United at Anfield on Sunday.
Off the pitch, it has now emerged that one of Europe’s biggest clubs are showing interest in one of Liverpool’s most important players.
According to CaughtOffside, La Liga giants Real Madrid have identified Reds midfielder Alexis Mac Allister as a potential transfer target to bolster Xabi Alonso’s squad.

The report claims that the Spanish side have added Mac Allister to their shortlist of targets, along with one of his Argentina teammates, Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez.
It is claimed that Real are on the hunt for a new midfielder after missing out on the signing of Martin Zubimendi, who left Real Sociedad to join Arsenal over the summer.
Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton and AZ Alkmaar’s Kees Smit are also said to be on the La Liga side’s shortlist of possible targets, while they also remain interested in Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo.
Since joining Liverpool from Brighton and Hove Albion in 2023, Mac Allister has played ore than 100 times for the Merseyside outfit across all competitions.
Fernandez, meanwhile, has featured 125 times for the West London side since joining from Benfica in 2023 in a deal worth more than £105 million.
Real’s pursuit of the Argentine midfield duo could be difficult, though, with Mac Allister and Fernandez contracted to their current clubs until 2028 and 2032 respectively.
