CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Cavaliers have unveiled HIPP, a private members-only club at Rocket Arena.
The team worked with Los Angeles-based hospitality and lifestyle marketing company The h.wood Group, formally unveiling the club this week.
Membership provides access to a premier seating area for Cavs games. The architectural firm Populous designed the club, which is capped at 100 members.
The club’s personalized experience includes private entrance with valet parking, chef-driven plated meals, a supper club-inspired environment featuring custom cocktails, premier wine list and unlimited concessions / access to all clubs throughout the arena.
A representative for the Cavs said the team would not share exact membership fee but said it is in the five figures “and sits on top of the cost of tickets.”
The name comes from Cleveland’s Hippodrome Theatre, built in 1907, its design a nod to the grandeur and interior of the historic playhouse. The design acts as an homage to Cleveland’s rich playhouse history, when downtown was filled with theaters of all sizes.
In a press release Nic Barlage, CEO of Rock Entertainment Group, Cleveland Cavaliers and Rocket Arena, described HIPP as “an unmatched concept in the industry” and “an experience unlike any other.”
“HIPP sets the global benchmark for luxury in sports and entertainment,” he said.
